My paintings...!!! :P

After going to my painting classes, I actually fell in love with nature. Now, I try to reproduce it in every other way. But I guess the best way to do it is with the help of a painting..!! Authentic and the most pristine form of how good the nature can look...! :)

I tried to get the best of a sunset in my painting # 1

~~ Sunset ~~

And I hope it worked out well.. :)

The next one is a typical scene of the woods, made beautiful by that pretty sea green pond and a lot many trees.. :)

~~ The woods ~~

This is my best piece of art till date and I don't wanna part with it in any case.. :)

I couldn't make many of them though.. :(.. Shortage of time can at times be very sad...!!!

And, and, and.. wait for more to come.. :D..!! Will put them up in sometime.. ;)

My sketches..!!! :)

I'm so happy to be able to put them up here... Finally...!!!! A bunch of my sketches, the ones we made in our painting classes.. ;) Hehe.. The classes that we were not able to give a good justice to...! :P
But the amount we did give was good enough to get a satisfactory output..

Here are a few of my sketches...! Have fun... ;)

If only I could get more of these classes.....

Funny and meaningless excuses!

Randomely going through webpages, I came across a set of excuses parents make when in uncomfortable situations, situations in which their sole aim is to defend their children, even if it means getting a mickey made out of them.. :P.

Take a shot and try reading it without rolling on the floor laughing! :P :P

These are actual excuse notes (original spelling intact) from some of the most unintentionally hilarious parents around:

  1. My son is under a doctor's care and should not take P.E. today. Please execute him.
  2. Dear School: Please excuse John being absent on Jan. 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, and also 33.
  3. Please excuse Roland from P.E. for a few days. Yesterday he fell out of a tree and misplaced his hip.
  4. John has been absent because he had two teeth taken out of his face.
  5. Megan could not come to school today because she has been bothered by very close veins.
  6. Please excuse Ray Friday from school. He has very loose vowels.
  7. Please excuse Pedro from being absent yesterday. He had (diahre) (dyrea) (direathe) the runs. [words in ()'s were crossed out.]
  8. Please excuse Burma, she has been sick and under the doctor.
  9. Please excuse Jimmy for being. It was his father's fault.
  10. I kept Billie home because she had to go Christmas shopping because I don't know what size she wears.
  11. Please excuse Jennifer for missing school yesterday. We forgot to get the Sunday paper off the porch, and when we found it Monday, we thought it was Sunday.
  12. Sally won't be in school a week from Friday. We have to attend her funeral.
  13. My daughter was absent yesterday because she was tired. She spent a weekend with the Marines.
  14. Please excuse Jason for being absent yesterday. He had a cold and could not breed well.
  15. Please excuse Mary for being absent yesterday. She was in bed with gramps.
  16. Maryann was absent December 11-16, because she had a fever, sore throat, headache and upset stomach. Her sister was also sick, fever and sore throat, her brother had a low grade fever and ached all over. I wasn't the best either, sore throat and fever. There must be something going around, her father even got hot last night.
  17. Please excuse little Jimmy for not being in school yesterday. His father is gone and I could not get him ready because I was in bed playing games.
:P :P :D ;)

Update V1.0

To make blogging a regular habit is indeed very difficult! We can strive to maintain so though.. :P There are so many new things happening to you that it's actually very difficult to bullets-and-number them here.. That is why I'm up with this new feature of versions. I know, I know... It is very very old.. But for my chota-sa, rarely updated blogpage, it's a very good idea..! :P

Lots of things happened since I last blogged (In forward chronological order):
  1. I happened to visit Bangalore, very casually..! :P (Haha, what a lie..!!!). It is still the same old place, with its same old welcoming feeling. It is always a pleasure to visit the place. I want to work here some time in my life.
  2. I went to IIMB (Woah!! No words..!). An awesome campus, with an awesome aura. Why do I have to go to places and fall in love with them..? :( It is so depressing to not belong to such places..!!! If only I could get to study in it.
  3. IIMB had its 35th annual convocation and my best friend was getting graduated.. :P :P :P It was just so amazing to attend it, with Mr. Mukesh Ambani conferring the degrees on the graduates.
  4. Just to re-affirm, I got no IIM calls this season.. :( What a hard luck..! My fear of CAT becoming an annual event for me is coming true...!! Hehe.. Boht MEHNAT hai yar.. Boht hi zyada.. :( This much I've learnt that without MEHNAT, nothing can be done in case of CAT, and specially when all you have to get into is an IIM. Atleast thats the case with me. :P
  5. I hope I get into that studying mode for once.. :P.. After going to IIMB, I was re-energised with motivation. I hope it lingers a little more so that I'm still that motivated in times to come. And ofcourse, if time permits ( what a sick reason...!!! Hehe)
  6. My last sessionals of my last sem. :O.. seriously? I had my last sessionals this week. Finally, my engineering coming to an end.. ! It was 4-year-long affair. :(.. I don't know if I should feel happy or not. On a two way road, one is the road I took from my college life to this point. The other one is leading me to a whole new corporate world. Should I feel sad about leaving college, which is the case if I consider the masti I had here..? Or should I feel happy about going outside, living an independent life, facing the challenges that life has in store for me? A tough question to answer. I will let the time decide an answer for me.. :P
  7. And now, according to the chronology, I have to be back at work... Stupid projects, defence, lab work, vivas etc..!!! If anything at all, I do wanna get rid of them. :P

Ha...! Ciao..!

A deep thought..!

Few things I've taken an interest to in the last few months/years:
  1. Painting (oil) and sketching
  2. Photography: I want to buy that professional camera. :) :) My interest seems to lie in the NATURE photography.
  3. Fashion Designing: This has been an interest since long (from the day I joined college and comtemplated the other options, things I actually wanted to do).
  4. Except for designing, I have also stiched garments. It is just so lovely to do so. I was planning to take up a course in Fashion in ITALY, but things just didn't work out. :(
  5. A Fashion/Youth magazine: I want to have a brand of my own. :P..! (This is definitely gonna come true one day. :D ) My interest is mostly inclined towards the Fashion side, youth being a part of it (bechare youths ko hi to mostly fashion pasand ata hai...!! :P hehe!!.) :)..
  6. Being an editor at a good magazine: This is something I wanna do just for fun. For sometime.. :P
Ohkay, this one is the most amazing..!!!! And the most unbelievable too... Follow:
  • Joining the SETI, Search for Extra-Terrestial Intelligence..!!!! =)). But believe me for the fact that it is actually true. This I wanted to do since I was a child.. hehe!!!! My love for ET is from time immemorial.. :P :P :P

That is more than enough to say in one go...! :P

Ciao..!

Indore and Ujjain

13th to 17th March:

My last weekend was one of the nicest I've ever had. To ask me why, I'd say I had gone to a place very important in my life. Even though I've been to these places before, I looked at them in an entirely different way this time.

How many times had I thought of going to these places. Only until march could I get a time good enough to go and visit them.

Indore, as has always been, is an upcoming city, competing with all the metros with its full mighty blow. I went to Indore after a good number of years, but anyway, in the heart of it it's still the same. Only the aura of the city has changed, and for the good..!! I could actually compare it with the all the new advancements made in New Delhi, and sometimes, to my surprise, even better.

Chappan, a very famous hangout in the city of Indore is a series of 56 shops, all set in a row, ready to serve the young and the old. Though, the scorching heat in Indore is absolutely incomparable to that of delhi, it felt nice to roam around eating kulfi and drinking Shikanji. I was also dared to drink a glass of Shikanji in one go. I thought that it would be really easy, considering the bad sun. Hence, I took up this cake-walk challenge. But, I was literally shocked to find out what it was. Instead of being a soothing and refreshing Neembu pani, as we call it here, it was nothing similar to it. It was a cold RABRI, imagine..!!! And, truly, I just could not drink it. I thanked god for makin me drink that tiny, small glass instead of the regular big size, which on that day was out of stock, all to my happiness :D. Otherwise, I would have lost, and I don't like losing at all. :P. All in all, Indore is still there in my list of cities I would never get bored of. :D

Ujjain, I just fell in love with the city the instant I entered it. It's just so calm and serene, yeah, of course, except for the even more blazing heat there. Hehe.. The city is famous for its Mahankal mandir, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas in India. I have been to only six of them.

The city is simply avalanched with temples. People are really religious there. And I could not help noticing the fact that all of this seemed to be just so amazing. I loved everything about the city, mostly because of the way I was shown around.. :D :D :D :P.

I'm never gonna forget this trip. It stays embedded in my mind forever.

When am I ever gonna get a break..?

"Knock knock!! buzz, buzz!! wake up, man!! do something..!!!" - sounds funny? re-iterating?
I know, cos this is precisely what I have been experiencing since the past few days..
Got a hint of what I have been going through yet..?? i bet, you have..!!!

God!! It's just so tough maintaining your equilibrium in one side of the brain while preparing for CAT in the other. Yes, yes, you need to program your brain much more than you need to program your abilities. That is by far the the biggest truth that I have encountered since I started preparing for CAT. CAT is not about your abilities, but about the way you manoeuver the going.

Ahh.. wait, wait.. isnt it all just a capitulation of what people are taught in the MBA?

To complement it even more, here goes a series of fundas -

It is about the very day. Even if you have been faring well in the mocks, it gives you no assurance that you are going to do the same in the main test. You might just be shocked as to what you score in it. It might be very BAD and not at all upto your expectations and it may even be the best that you have ever scored. CAT is just so unpredictable that it badly enjoys taking its toll on everyone who has dared to as much as touch it.

When I used to get all this shit from people who were then preparing for CAT, I used to feel a little incredulous about it. How can a test scare the shit out of people, when all you got to do is to score just the 30% of the paper? That sounds un-believable, right? I know, but then that is what it is.

Some bloody 30-40% can decide the course of your life..!!! And then, even if you do score the most craved for 30-40%, and you are on cloud 9 , feeling like you got what you wished for, you will suddenly find the rest of the things coming in, crashing down all your hopes in a matter of seconds.. and then, you suddenly become aquainted to the fact that you still dont have a probability-1 of getting into an IIM. DAMN IT.. bloody
There is always something which comes in the way of your taking a flight to the IIMs.

WORK EX, WORK EX, WORK EX, WORK EX...!!!!!!!!!!!!

And, that is something which stands in the first place of the incessant queue of conditions that you may have to encounter just to be able to cross that barrier, the barrier which will walk you down the aisle ( sound like a marriage? :P.. i know!! but are not you actually getting married to an IIM.. :P :P ) ) to the prestigious gates of the IIMs.
And, also, this is one of the additional things that have been hovering over my mind, lurking, lying in ambush, ready to take an unexpected blow whenever they feel they can perplex me to the fullest.

You try to do the best, be calm, be patient, be all those things that you just can't be and then... BOOM!!! back to square one..!!!! You are back to where you were when you started that day. No fayda at all as to what you had been preaching yourself the whole day about..!!

And even then, the rigmarole never seems to strike the ending. Why would it, bhai? After all, it is a rigmarole, and it's your own foolishness to expect too much out of it, right?
RIGHT RIGHT.. heard dat, listened to that, tried to implement that, but to no avail. It does no good, so have stopped doing anything related to that..!!!

Just-take-it-as-it-comes should be my funda of the day, but then, i devise an absolutely new funda everyday.

So much of my frustration being poured down the pages of my bechara, be-sahara blog page.
uski to koi galti bhi nahi hai...!!!

Hehe.. I think I should call it a day by ending such an encouraging blog!!!

Have fun reading it....
