My beginning as an Engineer.....

I sit here pondering over the fact that if engineering was ever my destiny.
Being the daughter of doctors, it was expected that i too land up in the very same field!
But on the contrary, I took up engineering. It was my own decision!
I have myself never thought of any other career interests except, ofcourse, being an engineer or a doctor.
The fact that i come from a family where one is either a doctor or an engineer has always embarked upon me a willingness to continue with either of the professions! Not that i am complaining. I had always wanted to be one.

So the choice was ofcourse within the medical and the non-medical, amongst which i preferred the NON-MEDICAL, there being two reasons:
1.It means a lot less hardwork than medical :D
2.You dont have to worry about the dissections... {god! i wonder how the doctors manage to operate} it is nauseating to a very large extent... :(
Once i was trying to find some school stuff which i had put in an unnamed CD. So in the process i kept on running all the available cds. And then suddenly, out of nowhere , this particular brain transplant video started playing on my computer screen... you can definitely imagine what i went through that day.. i was hardly 15 ! it shook me like anything... since then i have taken to not preferring the MEDICAL stream :D

So, here i am in a 4-year long engineering course from one of the very good colleges of engineering in delhi, though i am sad of not getting to clear THE IIT- the mark of excellence in the engineering field. But that is something i will always feel bad about!

So within a week I would be entering my second year pertaining to this engineering course :D

college life...

No matter what people tell you, it is the best part of your life. I landed up in the college with a faint sensation of being let out into the real world which, later on, grew into a big one. Well, yeah, college life is definitely a bliss and comes with, like any other bliss in the world, its own pros and cons. I have been straining to write about them but all i could gather in the last few days was this :

PROS:

  1. the freedom you get is just unbeatable. Actually it is, if to be thought over, the absolute starting of freedom. You come of the age and suddenly it's just you who decides what is the best fr you.
  2. You get to make new friends. The fun and masti that friends can have together in college life can know no bounds. That is one of the best parts of college life.

CONS:

  1. you got to be very responsible or else this generosity embedded upon you by your parents can be taken off. hehe!
  2. Its very difficult to get the kind of friends you had like to intermingle with. it takes time but in the end its worth it :D. after that, you just dont seem to have a college life without them being by your side.
